An Indian Summer !!!

Even in the fantastic late winter and spring this year I can't recall a weather report that looked like the one below. 

Apparently it all has to do with the jet stream moving farther north and therefore pulling warm Spanish air up over the UK. While this has been happening gradually for a while it is only this week just gone that has seen temperatures up to 10 degrees higher than is usual for this time of the year and could break break weather records. It is also causing plants to flower again months before they should and some parts of the UK are still looking at drought conditions. 

The pity is it is only going to last a week all up and will be over by Monday Oct 3rd or so.
